About Imam Zaid Shakir
Imam Zaid Shakir is an American born revert to Islam who has spent many years studying Islam overseas. He is a political scientist, professor, and is very active on the Islamic speaker circuit.
He is currently teaching at Zaytuna Institute in California. He is also a close friend of the Islamic Association of North
Texas and the Muslims of the Dallas Central Mosque. We have been fortunate to have
him as our khateeb on a few occasions and have had him present numerous lectures here at the Dallas Central Mosque.
